Brett Favre or T-Jack? Just Watch Randy Moss vs Patriots

The Vikings are in New England to take on the Patriots this afternoon and there is still not a concrete answer for who will be the starting QB for Minnesota. Sure, Favre told ESPN’s Ed Werder that he wouldn’t have gotten on the plane if he wasn’t expecting to start the game. Shocker. He also said he is prepared to be replaced if he is ineffective or in too much pain. Brad Childress needs to start Tarvaris Jackson. He should make the decision before the game and not wait until Brett serves up points or field position to Tom Brady and the Pats.
It doesn’t matter who the QB is for Minnesota, the best storyline to watch will be Randy Moss facing the team that traded him just a few weeks ago. Moss has a history of playing very well in big games and has torched teams that have disrespected him like the Cowboys, Packers, Jets, Bears and many others over the years. While I don’t expect him to have a monster game, the Vikings will throw to him and they will it deep to him. New England knows this. Bill Belichick knows this. The problem for the Patriots is if they pay to much attention to #84, Percy Harvin is likely to erupt for a big game as he has been doing since Randy’s return to Minnesota. In addition, I don’t think the Pats can stop Adrian Peterson without using eight men in the box. That kind of defense will open up the secondary to big plays.
For the Vikings defensively it is simple; they have to pressure Tom Brady. Whether it is with the front four or via the blitz, they have to get to the QB and the heat has to come quickly. New England will not be able to run the ball, so keeping their aerial attack in check is priority number one.
Minnesota can definitely win this game, but they have do all these things well and not turn the ball over. Randy Moss will be a huge factor just because the Patriots must pay extra attention to him. I expect his stat line will read something like 6rec 78yds 1td. If he does that and the Vikings win the turnover battle this will be a win.Vikings 24 Patriots 20
