I admit, I couldn’t even write after last week’s loss. Watching the Raiders demolish the Broncos was too hard to write about. I could write about how horrible that game was, but I’ll skip to London.
The highlight: Maybe some of the Broncos players would be better Cricket players.
The Coach: If Josh McDanials doesn’t win the next few games, he’s probably going to be gone next year. I doubt anyone would miss him either. He did sign a four year contract (for $8 Million, he might be worth $8 right now), but let’s hope somewhere in there, a clause was written to fire him in the case he doesn’t perform well as head coach.
The Quarterbacks: Tebow still hasn’t thrown a pass, he did get a touchdown. So, can he throw in the pro’s? It’d be nice to know. Orton however, who is a good quarterback, has too many interceptions. When you’re throwing all the time it’s impossible not to have a few. But does he always have to throw them at important moments, just as fans are getting this spring of hope, they’re crushed by an interception, a bad play call. Whatever it is, there is always a heart breaking play to kill the hope.
The Running Game: Hey, we did run a little. Although it was only 59 rushing yards. At least it was better than some inches.
The Kicker: How do you miss the extra point? How is that possible? Alright, so it is possible if you’re watching a high school game, but that shouldn’t be a consideration in a professional game. And yet, it was today.
The Touch Down Killing Penalties: Twice. The Broncos could have scored, but twice they had penalties take away those possibilities.
The Orange Hearts Fading: It’s tough being a Broncos fan. Actually, it’s painful. It isn’t just tough. It’s hard watching a team with potential constantly making stupid mistakes, poor play calls, and a 2 – 6 record. Half the season is overshadowed with pathetic mistakes.
Perhaps, just maybe, the rest of the season will be better. Don’t hold your breath, wouldn’t want you to pass out.
