How many people remember when Charlie Brown used to try to kick the football and Lucy always took it away at the last second and Charlie would always go head over heels but he kept trying and kept thinking (to himself none the less) that Lucy will not pull it away and I will kick that damn football.
So far this Dallas Cowboy season, it seems like Charlie Brown and the Dallas Cowboys have something in common. They keep thinking they are going to win football games, go to the post season and the Super Bowl is still something attainable. Do I have to scream WAKE-UP!!!!!!. Dallas wide receiver Roy Williams was quoted a lot this week but one I did find funny was “we can go nine in a row”, Roy, are you serious?.
I have not thrown in the towel as to the Cowboys finding themselves some sort of positive for the remainder of the season but I do not think the post season is at all attainable.
This Sunday night, national television had the makings for an NFC Championship preview when I am sure the NFL did the scheduling but clearly now it is just another game. Can the Cowboys at all be any type of spoiler. The game is against the Green Bay Packers who have one of the best quarterbacks in the league, the Pack are looking at the post-season well the Cowboys can only hope and try to be as stated the spoiler.
Are the Cowboys going to show up on Sunday night?, where was Marion Barber last Sunday?, can Jon Kitna throw as many TD’s as he will interceptions?, hey, they might have a chance to win if he did but that is unlikely against a better Packer squad then the Jaguar squad last Sunday that teached the Cowboys a lesson on how to play football.
Not much positive to say about them Cowboys this week, lets hope they show up and show someone in Cowboy Nation that they can win football games. Jerry Jones making excuses, taking all the blame, Wade Phillips having little to say and the players wondering if they are still in high school.
as always and encouraged, comments, questions, concerns……
