Iowa State v. Nebraska preview

If Iowa State wants to become bowl eligible this season they have to win only one more game and I feel their best shot could be this week against Nebraska. Even though Nebraska is ranked no. 9, the Cyclones have been playing great football the past couple weeks. If they keep running the ball like they have and forcing turnovers they should pull out a upset victory. It would be Iowa State’s first win against a ranked opponent all season. They have lost against Iowa, Utah, and Oklahoma giving a combine score of 155 points. Another reason I think Iowa State will win this Saturday is because they defeated Nebraska last year, so it possible.

Nebraska on th other hand need to win this week too, to keep their seson alive as well. They could be without two starters, quarterback Taylor Martinez (ankle) and cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (concussion). Neither had practiced this week through Tuesday, and both players were day-to-day. The big thing for Nebraska needs to do in order to win aganist Iowa State is win the turnover battle. The Huskers committed 13 turnovers in their last two games against Iowa State, and they have been fumble-prone this season with 26 fumbles (including nine lost). The Huskers are coming off a turnover-free game against Missouri.

I feel this game could be a interesting and very close game to watch and its really a coin toss to say who is going to win. This game has a make up to be an all out war, I am excited to see the outcome.
