This weeks game in Toronto will mark the Bills 3rd visit to the great white north when they play the Chicago Bears. Nothing like a rival like Buffalo vs Chicago to get the fans out to the Rogers Center. Why the league would choose the Bears to play in Toronto is beyond me. I have no interest in spending the 65 dollars for the upper bowl tickets and even less paying 155 dollars for the lower bowl. I’ve been in attendance for games in Toronto and it just doesn’t work. Until Toronto get their own team, the games will be a little lack luster. The differences are simple, fans in Toronto are diverse, you’ll have Bills, Bears, Panther, Jets, and every other team in the league. Therefore the cheering is minimal and even heard that people get upset for standing in front of them. Ridiculous thought if you’ve ever been to a game at the Ralph.
With 2 straight overtime loses, the Bills will be looking for their first win and it could come this week. Chicago is coming of their bye week and their offensive line is weaker than Buffalos, leading to Cutler being sacked 27 times. Let’s hope they can get to him early and cause a few turnovers.
The Bills have picked up Shawne Merriman off waivers this week but won’t be available for this weeks game due to injuries. Although Merriman has his off field issues and has only 3 sacks in the last 3 years, I believe he will help them out. Hell, put me in the line up and it would be better.
I look for Buffalo to throw deep and put some points on the board early and get that Toronto crowd on their feet. I’ll pick the Bills 42-17, just for the fun of it. I haven’t seen a full game in 2 weeks so I’m just hoping for the best.
They may be winless but at least we’re not the Cowboys and Vikings!
