The Baltimore Ravens are proving to the nation that they’re the best football team in the NFL. They beat the Miami Dolphins easily at home, 26-10. The Ravens improve to 6-2 and remain unbeaten at home, 4-0. The Dolphins fall to 4-4.
Ravens outplayed the Dolphins in all three phases in the game; offense, defense and special teams. Ray Rice is playing like he did last year not only rushing the ball but also catching the ball. He had 83 rushing yards and 97 receiving yards.
Joe Flacco completed 20 out of 27 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns. Flacco is starting to put himself in the elite quarterback group as long as he keeps his turnovers down. Ravens offense had no turnovers in this game.
The Ravens defense is starting to create turnovers. Is it because of the return of Ed Reed? Or, is it because their raising their level of play? They had three interceptions this game, one by Ed Reed. That’s three picks and a force fumble in just two games for Reed.
The Ravens shut down one of the best wide receivers in the game, Brandon Marshall. He was targeted eight times and caught five passes for only 30 yards.
The Ravens were so dominate that they almost beat the Dolphins 2-to-1 in time of possession, 38:22 to 21:38.
The Ravens have a short week and travel to Atlanta to play the Flacons on Thursday night. Both the Ravens and Flacons are 6-2 on the season.
