Fantasy Roundup

Posted By David Willow On Nov 9 2010 @ 4:27 pm In Fantasy Football | No Comments

Another week in the books in fantasy land with a few ups and downs. Megatron felt the Revis effect, Legarrette Blount has still yet to be trusted by the Bucs, and Steve Johnson is showing he can sustain fantasy relevance. Hopefully everyone is doing well and having fun out there. For those of you who suffered a scare with Roddy White, he is being reported as good to go for the start of Thursday night games and will play versus the Ravens. Stephen Gostkowski will miss at least 2 games after injuring his quad muscle, and Matthew Stafford may be out for the season with a separated shoulder after a great showing in the last 2 games after his return. That being said here are some pick ups to look for.

Shayne Graham – With Gostkowski being out Graham will be taking his place and could fill in well in a New England offense the will move the ball, but may struggle to get the ball in the end zone. Worth a look if you’ve lost Gostkowski and need a filler.

Brandon Pettigrew – Pettigrew had a TD this week and one called back on a penalty, but has been looked to in the red zone in this Lion’s offense. Even with Satfford likely to be out he has been consistently targeted. He’s worth a look especially in deeper leagues.

Vincent Jackson – Jackson is starting to practice with the Chargers and I know I listed him last week, but I gotta say it again if he is out there, and he is in 48% of leagues currently you want to grab him if you have room. If not to play at least to keep others from using him against you. The Chargers are the number 1 passing offense and have had success just plugging in guys into their system. Case in point Seyi Ajirotutu, an undrafted rookie contributed 185 yards over the past 3 games. Jackson is a gifted player an will be back just in time to get a few games under his belt before fantasy playoffs begin, and what’s better is the Chargers will be fighting for a playoff spot so they’ll be going full throttle.

Reggie Bush – Bush will be on a bye week this week, but now may be a good time to grab him. Available in 43% of leagues, Bush may be the feature guy coming back with Pierre Thomas still a question mark and Chris Ivory separating his shoulder last week may be out as well.

Jacobey Ford – Ford rallied late in the game catching 6 passes for 148 yards and a return TD. Ford showed a ton of explosiveness and could be in line for an increase in play after the bye week. Stash him in deeper leagues.
