It’s never too early to eliminate the Clippers from playoff contention. And to quote Dexter Morgan, “Tonight’s the night.”
Three of the Clippers top four players are injured. The good news on that front is that their fourth best player, Baron Davis, played limited minutes tonight. Yippee!
Their third best player, Eric Gordon sat out with his shoulder issue. Terrible.
Chris Kaman joined the injury list when he landed on Chris Paul’s foot and sprained his knee early in the 1st quarter. He is expected to be out at least 2-3 weeks.
Cue Bill Murray and “I’ve Got You Babe.”
Quick! Someone put a protective shield around Blake Griffin!
The Clippers seemed shocked from then on and ended up losing in a rout. The Clippers exhibited uninspired play and zero sense of what they intend to do offensively resulting in the second consecutive game with 20+ turnovers (25).
The Clippers now own the worst record in the league. It only gets worse tomorrow night as they face the Spurs.
I have more to write regarding plans for next season (yes, I wrote next season). Check it out tomorrow.
