Hoosiers Head To Camp Randall

The Indiana Hoosiers (4-5) travel to Madison, Wisconsin this weekend to take on the Wisconsin Badgers (8-1). The Hoosiers are still in search of their first Big Ten win and if they want to win on Saturday, they are really going to have to fight for it.

Quarterback, Ben Chappell, comes out of the game against Illinois with 222 passing yards and one rushing yard for a touchdown.  Chappell has been named a finalist for the Wuerffel Trophy, a prestigious award which honors players who have excelled athletically as well as academically. Hopefully his excellent athleticism will help keep the Hoosier offense alive this week and score early against the Badgers.

The Hoosiers have had more trouble than the Badgers when it comes to putting points on the board against one another. The last time Indiana beat Wisconsin was in 2002. This year, Indiana’s head coach, Bill Lynch, has prepared his team to be aware of the Badgers blitzes. The Badgers have better and bigger offensive and defensive lines than the Hoosiers but Indiana will come into this game in top form looking for a W.

As the Hoosiers head back to Madison for the first time since 2007, five Indiana players will be going back to their home state. Although most people root for their home state teams to win, Cody Evers, Chris Hagerup, John Laihinen, Alexander Webb, and Xavier Whitaker will try to help Indiana beat Wisconsin. As great of a football atmosphere as Madison is, it is even better when you are the team that wins.

The Hoosiers aerial attack must be precise if they want to beat the Badgers at Camp Randall. The game will be played Saturday at noon and will be televised on ESPN2.
