As we now enter a new chapter in Dallas Cowboy Nation, the non Wade Phillips era (who said Wade’s job was safe this season-clearly not), the new chapter is the Jason Garrett era. Is Jason the answer to now heed a team that is 1-7, has nothing to play for when the season is really just hitting its prime. Garrett comes from being the offensive coordinator where he could not put points on the scoreboard and now as head Coach he is expected to run points on the board, how he manages to do this is another whole chapter. We all know Dallas is a better team than their record shows and why they have not been playing well is beyond an answer I have and clearly by the lack of comments, no one knows why Dallas has been playing so poorly this season. Sure starting quarterback went down but the season was in jeopardy even when Romo was at the helm.
There is always the possibility that Garrett in his first game as head Coach can get something out of the players that Phillips could not at all this season in the first 8 weeks.
Things are not going to be easy as the Cowboys travel to the Meadowlands to play the 6-2 New York ‘football’ Giants. It was the same Giants that almost put the Cowboy season on hold with the victory earlier in the season in Dallas.
I/we could sit here and analyse but we can say been there/done that and no reason to beat the horse up anymore than it already is. Dallas has a core of good players and if they decide to play for Garrett than so be it and as said in earlier blogs, maybe the Cowboys can be some sort of spoilers to teams that think they are heading to the post-season this year. Really that is all they have to play for along with character, emotion, passion and to try and not totally embarass themselves anymore than they have already this season.
I will end this blog as who knows!!!!!!!
comments / questions / concerns, I am still listening……
