Monday night the Spurs went to Charlotte and won a tougher game than what it should have. Turnovers are going to be an issue all year. Against team like the Bobcats, the Spurs can get away with that but not against the top teir teams. There is also to many possesions were the Spurs don’t move the ball and some body is playing one on one.
Thats not how they play on offense. It was good o see that the Spurs can play from behind and comeback to win, to do that on the road is pretty good. Gay neal was the spark off the bench ( 5-7 from three) that kept the Spurs in the game.
Manu led the way with 26 points.
Last night the Clippers came to town. It was also their first game on national t.v. For that reason I was worried that they might get knocked off. For the first three quarters it looked like I was going to be right. The Clippers kept the game close and took the lead about half way through the thrid quarter. It’s at this point I’m thinking “damn it, I jinxed them”, but they pulled away in the fourth and finished. Again, this is something that they wouldn’t have done last year.
TP9 is having the year we hoped he would have. Top ten in assists, top ten in steals and 16pts per game. Thats TP9.
Antonio is playing like these teams stole something from him.
James Anderson went down with a stress fracture in his right foot and will miss two months. Today the spurs waived Garrett Temple. No signings were announced.
