We had talked about this big 3 game road trip for Utah at the start of the week, well there’s only one game left and the Jazz are already 2-0. No matter the outcome of tomorrow’s game , this tough East coast road trip is a success! Utah rallied from 22 points to stun Miami in Miami on Tuesday night, on Wednesday the Jazz decided to rally from 18 points to beat the Magic in Orlando. Deron Williams delivered a gem of a performance with 30 points & 14 assists, Paul Milsap and Al Jefferson chipped in by scoring 23 & 21 points respectively. I know it’s early, but I just wanted to inform you all that the Jazz are now only a 1/2 game back of the Blazers in the Northwest Division. They are 5-3 with a chance to go 6-3, their last 3 games have been won by overcoming double digit deficits!! Deron Williams is averaging 21 points and 10.5 assists on the year, Paul Milsap’s averages have gone from 11 points and 6 rebounds a year ago, to 23.9 points and 10.1 rebounds this year!! As of now he’s definitely making up for the loss of Carloz Boozer who averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds last year. The Jazz are in the midst of a 3 game wins streak, I love how their defensive intensity has picked up. If it wasn’t for their ability to lock teams down, they wouldn’t be able to come back and win late. I look forward to the match-up against the Hawks, hopefully the Jazz won’t run out of gas. They need to get out of this game without having to go down and climb back into it. You can only win so many games by way of comebacks, the Jazz have to make sure these lackadaisical starts don’t become a habit!! What’s your opinion of the Jazz, have they just been playing good of late?? Or is this an indication of the talent they have on this team, should they be considered one of the better teams in the Western Conference?
