The Spurs had their first back to back games this weekend and i’ll admit, they surprised me. I didn’t get to see the game Saturday against the 76ers but it looks like Blair had his first real good game of the year.
I did get home to see the game Sunday night against OKC.
This game I was looking forward to but it also had me worried. It was the best team the Spurs have faced since the Hornets and OKC showed that in the first half by being up by double digits most of the way with hot shooting.
But the Spurs didn’t fold, in fact, they stayed right with them and even got the lead down to five at halftime. Then the defense took over and OKC went cold and Matt Bonner caught fire. The Spurs held OKC to just 14 points in the 3rd.
In the 4th, the Spurs pulled away to get a tough come from behind road win. I was very impressed. BIG props to Matt.
Bonner went 7for7 from three. Nice to have you back Matt. Now the bench is even deeper.
Up next is da Bulls. They’re still without Boozer but D’Rose is still gonna come right at you. Rebounding will be the key. Taj Gibson and Noah eat up the boards so we have to keep them from getting those second chance points. It should be a good one.
