Fantasy Week 10 Wrap up

I don’t think can I even begin without pointing out Michael Vick’s performance Monday which, as long as he keeps up the spectacular numbers, will make him the best fantasy pick up and probably the fantasy MVP of the season. As a duel threat, he is guaranteed points every game as long as he stays healthy and is finally living up to the lofty expectations he had coming into the league. Some other performances of note were Dwayne Bowe’s 186 yard 2 TD performance which proved me and others wrong about him this week, even though the Chiefs were forced into uncharacteristically throwing the ball. Dwayne I apologize and will no longer doubt you the rest of the season. Also Maurice Jones-Drew had a 100 yard 2 TD performance and looks to be coming on right in time for the playoffs with some good match ups in line. For those of you who were let down by the usually consistent fantasy numbers of Peyton Manning let me offer you this, Manning’s bad struggles now are a good thing because the more Indy struggles and possibly loses a few games down the stretch here means that he is guaranteed to play throughout the fantasy playoffs which has been frustrating to fantasy owners throughout the seasons, especially in leagues running to week 17. The pickings are getting slim, but there are still some decent pick ups available out there.

Troy Smith – If your in desperate need of a QB Smith may be a good option. He has come on strong since being given the starting spot in San Fran and seems to have a good feel for the offense. Remember, Smith was supposed to be the starter for the Ravens until he got hurt and Joe Flacco took over.

Keiland Williams – Keiland Willams looked good running the ball, though it was mostly meaningless yards, but after a performance like that the Redskins will have to consider him for a least a larger share of the carries and if Clinton Portis and Ryan Torain struggle with their injuries he will be the prime back on the team.

Mario Manningham – It’s was confirmed a few days before the game this weekend that Steve Smith would miss the game against Dallas and I recommended running him. Now that Smith will be out for at least a few more weeks, Manningham is a must own player in a flourishing Giants passing game.

Fred Davis – Chris Cooley is struggling with an ankle injury that didn’t get better over the bye week and is looking at the possibility of missing time. Keep an eye out for confirmation, but Cooley is in danger of missing some time and Davis has proven to be money when he starts, which showed on a long play Monday that was a 70 something yard TD.
