The Cowboys showed up for the second straight week and got their first home win of the season. Though it comes a little late, fans have got to be elated to see the team finally playing up to their abilities. The Boys are drinking whatever it is that Jason Garrett is serving and to show for it they played a complete game playing well on all sides of the ball. It’s a welcomed site for a team that has gotten used to being a let down.
Dallas played well on offense, and though they didn’t produce much statistically, they played efficiently. They have had troubles with getting the ball in the end zone on the ground and found a way to get it in on 3 short touchdown passes. Jon Kitna has shown an ability to get everyone involved spreading the ball to 8 different receivers and even running a 29 yard touchdown in against on his former team. The defense played strong and though it bent at points the didn’t break when it was most important. What was great to see though was a second week of strong special teams play with Bryan McCann running another touchdown back this week, this time on a punt return on a very heads up play grabbing the ball as a Lions player was trying to down it.
Garrett has improved the team in seemingly every facet of the game and the Boys are playing with great energy and fire that hasn’t been seen here in a long while. It’s also important to note the focus and professional attitude the team is now displaying. They have now won a tough divisional game and have now won a game they were expected to win. Though expecting the team to win out the rest of the season is a tough sell, it’s not all that far fetched to expect the team to play this way throughout the rest of the games on their schedule. Each team left on their schedule will surely being taking notice of this revitalized team.
