Clippers Effort Gets Rewarded

Posted By Donovan Williams On Nov 23 2010 @ 1:49 am In Los Angeles Clippers | No Comments

Usually when Ralph Lawler tells me to “fasten my seat belt”, I get prepared to crash into a brick wall as if I am a crash test dummy.

Not tonight.

I got to the hand it to the Clippers. They show effort, they show toughness and they showed some resiliency in beating the team with the best record in the league, the New Orleans Hornets 99-95.

The Clippers did their best to lose this game.

They shot 17-34 from the charity stripe. They also gave up a 10-1 run to let the Hornets back into the game. s

But some how, some way, the Clippers found a way to end.

Even when back to back lay-ups failed to drop, they still mustered a way to find their second win of the season.

The Clippers were led by Blake Griffin who went 24 and 13, and Eric Gordon who scored 27 points on 9-18 shooting.

The Hornets saw a rather pedestrian night from superstar Chris Paul, who provided only 14 points and 6  assists.

The Clippers’ next game is Thursday against the Sacramento Kings.
