Virginia Tech, once again, started off slow against the Hurricanes.  Tech won another toss, only to defer to the second half. Miami moved down the field on their opening drive to score seven points, and take the lead.  The Hokies took time to respond, and scored with a Ryan Williams run to tie it up.  The Hokies gave up a field goal and made one of their own to keep the score tied going into the half.  For the first time in recent memory, Virginia Tech failed to make something of their first offensive possession of the second half.  Six Miami turnovers, two of which came on 3rd/4th downs with short to go.  Tech also intercepted Stephen Morris, the stand-out Freshman, 3 times.  Jayron Hosley also added to his nation leading total, and has established himself as one of VT’s greatest defensive backs.  Ryan Williams, the current #2 RB on the draft boards, had a huge game.  He busted off a run of 84 yards to break a 17-17 tie.

Virginia Tech looks to win its 10th game this season, tenth in a row, and move to 8-0 in the ACC.  If Tech can win this Saturday, they will become the current, consecutive 10 win season record holder.  Virginia Tech heads into The Commonwealth Cup looking to send off their Seniors with a win at home.  Kickoff is set for 12 pm.  If you are going please get there early, it will be the last home game for one of the best Virginia Tech players of all time, Tyrod Taylor.
