After the overtime loss to the Redskins on Sunday there is much talk about will Vince Young or the Titan’s coach Jeff Fisher be in Tennessee next year. Vince young suffered a thumb injury and will undergo season ending surgery. This mean Rusty Smith will be next week’s starter. Kerry Collins still needs a couple weeks to come back from his injury, so the Titans are bringing in Chris Simms.
After the game Vince Young was very upset and tossed his shoulder pads into the stands. He also had and argument with Jeff Fisher and then Young left the stadium. Tension between the head coach and the quarterback is never good. Vince Young is a very talented player. He is under a lot of stress because of injuries and a poor season record.
Both Young and Fisher are under contract in 2011, but I believe one will leave the team. I see Jeff Fisher being released next year because the Titans have amazing talent in their quarterback. I can’t see a quarterback coming in next year and being better than Vince Young. I feel if Jeff Fisher leaves Vince Young will play better and feel like he is getting a fresh start. I could be wrong and they might let go Vince Young, but I think that will make problems worse.
