Week 12: Start’em or Sit’em

Posted By Al Buzzelli On Nov 24 2010 @ 3:01 pm In Fantasy Football | No Comments

It’s a short week, so let’s just get to the good stuff.

Start’em in Week 12

Kevin Boss (vs. Jacksonville)

No Steve Smith, no Hakeem Nicks and Boss – the Giants’ leading receiver per yards per reception (15.1) – takes on the NFL’s 28th worst pass defense in the Jaguars.

Mario Manningham (vs. Jacksonville)

The Giants’ No. 1 receiver for the next three weeks

Danny Woodhead (@ Detroit)

How could you not love this kid? Averaging 10 yards per reception and a brisk 5.6 yards per rush, Woodhead should be in line for a solid day, especially WHEN the Pats jump out after exposing the 27th rush defense of Detroit and keeping that lead by running the ball in garbage time.

Shaun Hill (vs. New England)

The Patriots are 31st against the pass

Maurice Morris (vs. New England)

The Lions have Kevin Smith on IR and Jahvid best is supposedly “a long shot to play.”

Brandon Jacobs (vs. Jacksonville)

He’s now the starter and is excellent around the goal line.

Mike Williams (vs. Kansas City)

Two straight 100-yard games and he takes on the 25th ranked pass defense at home this week.

Dwayne Bowe (@ Seattle)

10 touchdowns in the past 6 games, Bowe is on a roll. Don’t expect the 30th ranked pass defense in Seattle to slow him down.

Mike Tolbert (@ Indianapolis)

Especially if Ryan Mathews can’t go

Cleveland D/ST (vs. Carolina)

After forcing 7 turnovers last week on the road, the Browns are the epitome of a great defense this week.

Sit’em in Week 12

LeSean McCoy (@ Chicago)

No running against the Bears, especially when they have a chance to be titled ‘NFC-best.’

Jay Cutler (vs. Philadelphia)

As Chicago is against the run, the Eagles are against the pass. Have you seen the Philly defensive front?

Fred Jackson (vs. Pittsburgh)

He’s on a hot streak since Marshawn Lynch (and C.J. Spiller) went down, but this is an easy decision.

Terrell Owens (@ New York Jets)

So is this one.

Nate Washington (@ Houston)

And this one (Rusty Smith is starting). Who?

Brandon Marshall (@ Oakland)

Brandon, meet Nnamdi Asomugha.

Zach Miller (vs. Miami)

Always, always, always look at the linebackers when deciding on a tight end.
