Jazz Dump Clippers for 5th Straight

Posted By Wilson Tarpeh Jr. On Nov 28 2010 @ 10:32 pm In Utah Jazz | No Comments

Blake Griffin didn’t want Utah’s streak to continue at his team’s expense, the rookie put up one heck of a fight a long the way. Utah had to rally again after being down 8 going into the half, the largest Clipper lead was 10. Blake Griffin put up a MONSTROUS double-double against Utah,  the rookie had 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists in his personal attempt at beating the Jazz. Other than Eric Gordon, Griffin was playing alone against the Jazz. The Jazz were led once again by point guard extraordinaire Deron Williams, Williams had 26 points and 9 assists. Not to mention 5 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. CJ Miles was up to his usual tricks contributing 16 points off the bench, all 5 starters finished in double figures for Utah. Interesting stat for Utah, well this can also be seen as disturbing was that Deron Williams led the team in 3 statistical categories. Points (26), rebounds (5), and assists(9). Utah’s road record improved to 7-2, their home record is 6-3, and their overall record is 13-5 good for 1st place in the division. The Jazz have a 2 game lead over the second place Thunder, the Jazz return home for tomorrow night’s game against the Bucks.  The match-up against the 6-10 Bucks should be a good one as it pits Brandon Jennings against Deron Williams. There’s also an exciting match-up in the paint between  Andrew Bogut and  Al Jefferson. Obviously the Jazz have the advantage at PG, I’m not so sure at the center match-up though. Who do you think has the edge, Bogut or Jefferson? Will the Jazz continue their streak, or should they “Fear the Deer?”
