Week 13 brings Buffalo Bills against Minnesota Vikings which I have dubbed the “Battle of the Super Bowl Losers”. Combined they have 8 Super Bowl losses and as we all know Buffalo lost 4 straight but you may not know that Minnesota lost theirs in a span of 7 years. Realistically none of these losses really matter anymore but as fans these losses are still raw.
I’m still reeling after last weeks 16-13 overtime loss to Pittsburgh, but as a Bills fan you just have to put it aside and look forward to the next week. Although I despise many players such as, Tom Brady, Jay Cutler, Ben Roethlisberger and the entire Dallas Cowboys team, Brett Favre is on the top of my list. With his back and forth circus about retiring, I look to Buffalo to rush the quarterback causing him to make bad decisions and for the Bills to capitalize and give this ailing quarterback the reason he needs to stay in permanent retirement.
I understand now why prognosticators picked Buffalo to win 2 games this year. All 9 losses have been against teams with winning records. 7 of these losses are from teams that are division leaders or a share of the division lead. The Bills still have to face all three of their divisional opponents and could easily finish with only 2 wins. Will fans want the Bills to play spoiler or hope they keep losing in hopes of getting first pick in the 2011 draft?
My predictions this week will not have a score or a winner but I predict the Bills will keep us on the edge of our seats causing me to question my loyalty to Buffalo.
