Jazz Top Pacers for 7th Straight

Does anybody remember me saying that the Jazz ¬†were going to be good this year?? Well I didn’t think they were going to be this good, the Jazz are on a 7 game win streak!! They are also on a 5 game win streak at home, the Jazz are now 15-5 on the year!! The Pacers had just beat the Lakers earlier this week and were on a 4 game streak on the road. That ended in Utah as the Jazz started hot and led wire to wire to beat the Pacers 110-88!!

Deron Williams played an amazing game, he had 24 points and 16 assists. What was even more impressive was that he had 16 assists and NO turnovers!! Prior to this game I had said that the game could be won down low, specifically on the boards. Well Al Jefferson and Paul Milsap had 10 and 8 rebounds respectively, Pacer’s big man Roy Hibbert only had 5 rebounds!! The Jazz pounded the Pacers on the boards , the Jazz had 46 rebounds to the Pacer’s 32. Jefferson recorded another double-double (17 points& 10 rebounds), Milsap was short by two rebounds to go with his 16 points. Andrei Kirilenko helped out on the boards as well pulling down 7, Kirelinko also had 18 points. All 5 starters recorded double figures in the scoring column for the Jazz, the bench chipped in with 25 points. Leading the bench in points was CJ Miles, Miles finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds.

Up next for Utah will be the Dallas Mavericks, the Mavs will be in Utah Friday night. The Mavs are 14-4 after their win last night, as usual the top gunner for the Mavs is Dirk Nowitski. Dirk is a match-up nightmare, Paul Milsap or Andrei Kirelinko will have their hands full. The match-up between Jason Kidd and Deron Williams should be exciting as well, Kidd is a Hall of Fame player and Deron Williams is arguably the best point guard in the league right now!! Which PG will be able to lead his team to victory, and out of the 2 who is the tougher cover? Will Utah’s streak continue to 8 games or will the Mavs leave Utah with a win??
