When the season started, who would have thought the Connecticut Huskies would have a chance to win the Big East? If UConn wins on Saturday night in Tampa, that’s the scenario folks. UConn like South Florida was a Division IAA team until 2005, when both joined the Big East. Bulls first year head coach Skip Holtz was quoted ” We’re not playing to spoil somebody else’s year, we’re playing to make ours.” USF has a chance to reach eight wins for the fifth consecutive season and with a win on Saturday, improve their bowl chances as well. It will also be the last home game for the seniors. The question is, who will start at quarterback for the Bulls against the Huskies in this pivotal Big East match-up?
It sounds like Tampa native and true freshmen walk on quarterback Bobby Eveld will get the start on Saturday night against the Huskies. Oh by the way, Eveld will be celebrating his 19th birthday on Saturday, and would love to celebrate a win over the Huskies on his birthday. Quarterback B.J. Daniels has been limited in practice this week, and it sounds like he’ll miss the game on Saturday. Not only are the Bulls looking for a win on Saturday night, the Mountaineers are rooting for the Bulls as well. If West Virginina wins at home against Rutgers ( I’m predicting a 14 point win by WVU) and the Bulls beat the Huskies, the 24th ranked Mountaineers will be Big East champs and they’ll represent the Big East Conference in the Orange Bowl.
Prediction: Bulls 22 Huskies 17
The Lucky Number For The Bulls Is? 15…When the Bulls score at least 15 points they win, anything less they lose!

Hi my name is Brian and I currently reside in the Sarasota area. I'm currently an online student with Southern New Hampshire University going for my Bachelor's in Communications. New Hampshire is close to my heart because I got married there in October of 2011. I was an intern with the local ABC station here in Sarasota last summer and it lasted until the winter. I had a blast and loved putting together highlights for the live sportscasts. I have also interned at WSRQ radio in Sarasota. Currently working for State College of Florida with their hoops team and softball team. I was at Tropicana Field, back in October of 2008 when the Rays won the AL. David Price came out of the bullpen that night and got Jed Lowrie to ground out and the dome went nuts! TB had a losing season every year until 2008, it was a magical season for the Rays.
