Knick Links- Tuesday

Posted By Jordan Lauterbach On Dec 7 2010 @ 4:40 pm In New York Knicks | No Comments

Greetings all! In honor of the Knicks winning ten of their last eleven games, here’s ten Knick links, and one non – Knick link, to keep you ocupied on an off day.

An entertaining look at a trip to last nights Knicks – T-wolves game – ESPN [1]

Can a small lineup work?- Newsday ( this site free for this month, take advantage) [2]

Hey, stick with what works. 10 out of 11 teams say use this lineup (…or is it the other way around)

Amar’e Stoudemire – player of the week – New York Daily News [3]

Has anyone ever tried to sell an MVP candidate on the amount of weekly/monthly awards they recieved? In all my years, I’ve never heard of this argument being made. Knicks might be able to make it with two players this year. First is Amar’e, obviously. He’s been the most impressive/impactful free agent from 2010 and it’s not that close, yet (I still think Lebron and co turn it around). Second is Landry Fields for ROY. This is an extreemly tough sell because of Blake Griffen, but if he keeps leading NBA GUARDS in rebounds and wins a bunch more ROW (Rook of week) awards, you could have the coversation.

More on Amar’e's hot play – ESPN [4]

Knicks keep on winning on the road – New York Magazine [5]

Of all the things about the recent streak, the road wins are by far the most impressive. One of the true measures of how good a team is is how they play on the road. The Knicks have passed that test. They also have a roadie with Washington on Friday. Incredably winnable.

Amar’e proving to be worth every penny? – Examiner.com [6]

He is, by far, the best free agent pick up to this point. Raymond Felton isn’t that far behind either, to be honest.

Some praise from Toronto media- Toronto Sun [7]

Not to be a homer (I despise and mock homer jornalism), but when’s the Knicks next loss?  You’d have to say this team has two more wins in them before Sunday against Denver when the schedule gets brutal. Even Denver should scare the Knicks less then Boston, or Miami, or OKC (all played before Christmas. Ouch).

A preview for tommorow night – CBS Sports [8]

A Knick piece from the best writer in the NBA – NY POST [9]

Mainstream media game story of the day – New York Daily News [10]

and the 11th link

Game of the night [11]

Dallas vs Golden State. Dallas also has a little streak going.

As for me, I’ll be spending the non – Knicks Tuesday watching College Basketball from the Garden with a little Nets/Hawks thrown in.
