DOUBLE TROUBLE; LEBRON AND D-WADE TORCH JAZZ IN UTAH

The Miami Heat won their first big road game of the season on Wednesday night, defeating the Utah Jazz 111-98. It was their sixth win in a row and improved the team’s overall record to 15-8. This game was probably the best Miami has looked all season, with the possible exception of the first contest with Orlando. As far as playing on the road, this game was by far the best the Heat has played. The “three kings”, however, were really more like double trouble tonight, as Wade and LeBron carried Miami to this win. These two scored 61 points combined. That is the most so far since they have been teammates, and in several instances on the court they appeared to have excellent chemistry. This Heat team is improving.
This game could have turned out to be a loss. Utah got off to a fast start; shooting 5-5 from the field to start the game, and while the Heat held the lead for most of the game, the Jazz went on a run to take a one-point lead into the fourth quarter. Wade and the Heaters responded with a very good final quarter, outscoring Utah by 14 points. While Dwyane and James scored plenty of points, Miami had excellent contributions from Zydrunas and Bosh. Big Z dropped 16 with 10 boards. Chris Bosh added 14 and 9. LeBron was the leading scorer with 33.
Miami needs to do a few things to continue to improve. The Heat still need to pick up the tempo and push the ball more. They are more athletic than most teams they will face. Miami needs to take advantage of that physical edge. They will have plenty of opportunities to run when they face former Heat forward Dorell Wright and the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
