Los Angeles Clippers, the Most Exciting Team in the NBA?

Perhaps the readers are asking if this was a typo calling the Clippers the most exciting team in the NBA. No typo, all truth and much evidence. Let’s play a game of word association, as you read the names below, yell out the first thing that comes to mind.
Kobe Bryant. LeBron James. Kevin Durant. Steve Nash
It can be assumed that many championships, Most Valuable Player accolades, winning records and all-star appearances come to mind with the group of these fine players, which is quite fitting. Now do the same for the next group of players, what is the first thing that comes to mind?
Blake Griffin. Eric Gordon. Baron Davis. Ryan Gomes.
Did you need a few minutes to Google some of them? Maybe. These men deserve to rub shoulders with the Kobe’s and the LeBron’s of the league. Rookie Blake Griffin leads the league in amazing and crowd pleasing dunks on YouTube as well as ranks 3rd in double doubles (points and rebounds) averaging 15 with only Lakers Pau Gasol and Timberwolves Kevin Love with 16. Guard Eric Gordon is 6th in the league in scoring only trailing Kobe Bryant in consecutive 20 plus point games. Gordan proved to be clutch in the thrilling win against the NBA’s best record San Antonio Spurs, where all-star point guard Tony Parker was held to an ineffective two points, and Gordon scored the last 9 of the Clipper’s points to ensure their victory.
Although the Clippers record in no way reflects their tenacity and exciting play during the games, the Clippers seem to be in every game down to the last second. The Clippers have lost by no more than nine points in the past seven match-ups.
The most impressive example was the last second loss to the defending champions Lakers on Wednesday, December 8 finishing 87-86 with a controversial last minute lay-up by Derek Fisher. The Clippers led by as many as 12, holding the Lakers to a low scoring game in which they average 103 points per game.
In their 5 wins this season, three of them have been to Western conference powerhouses where two of the teams held the best record when the Clippers brought them to their knees. Additionally with the return and dynamic play of veteran guard Baron Davis, the Clippers back-court has deepened.
A memo to the juggernauts of the NBA, you are never safe when it comes to the Los Angeles Clippers, youth will be served when you face the likes of this young bunch. So be afraid. Be very afraid.
