Buffone’s Weekend Menu: Spicy Dishes.

On the menu this week is an array of balmy weathered options to warm you up during the winter season and hopefully spice up your playoff life.
Bland: Cedric Benson: If Benson hasn’t found his way out of your lineup yet; it must be done this week. The Bengals back hasn’t rushed for over 50 yards in his last two games and only has had 3 TDs in his last 4 games. The Bengals travel to Pittsburgh this weekend to play a Steelers run defense that only allows 62 rushing yards a game and has only given up a league best 4 rushing TDs.
Spice it up with: LeGarrette Blount- The rookie running back has found himself being to go-to-guy in Tampa Bay and has averaged almost 20 carries a over his last four games. Blount went over the century yard mark last week against Atlanta and also added a TD. Look for the trend to continue this week against a Washington run defense that allows an average of 137 yards on the ground per game and has given up 12 rushing TDs so far.
Bland: Sam Bradford- The hotshot rookie may have impressed you enough to warrant a few starts but he is certainly a bad idea this week. Bradford failed to throw a TD last week and was limited to only 187 yards passing against Arizona. The Rams stroll into the Superdome this week to plays against a Saints defense that has only given up 8 passing TDs all year (Best in the NFL).
Spice it up with: Jon Kitna- The Cowboy’s backup hasn’t been putting up stellar numbers as of late but in a divisional game with Philadelphia and both defenses struggling, expect the both offenses to put up some points. The Eagles pass defense is ranked 17th in passing yards allowed per game and has given up 24 passing TDs so far this year (3rd most in the NFL).
Bland: Brandon Marshall- The big offseason acquisition for Miami hasn’t exactly paid off so far. In his last four games, Marshall is only averaging 4 receptions with 0 TDs. With the ever-growing dilemma at QB, don’t look for Marshall to explode this week on a vengeance seeking Jets defense.
Spice it up with: Lance Moore- Call it a love for New Orleans Cajun Gumbo but Moore has found a real niche in a pass-happy New Orleans offense as the underneath guy who tries to rack up receptions. Moore should see plenty of targets against a 19th ranked St. Louis pass defense.
