Tevez quitting Eastlands

What could possibly drive Carlos Tevez to abandon his £286 000 per week salary, captaincy and his teammates? Tevez insists his reason to quit is due to relations with certain Manchester City executives breaking down beyond repair. City claim Kia Joorabchian is the reason for Tevez’s decision to quit as City executives flatly refused to renegotiate Tevez’s contract. Joorabchian had asked for an increase from Tevez’s £286 000 per week salary to £300 000 per week. Regardless of Tevez’s reputation as a mercenary, to ask for an increased salary midway through the season as captain having not won anything is the epitome of greediness.
Tevez’s reason to quit seems more suitable for his advisor Kia Joorabchian who would be at long odds to receive a Christmas card from certain City executives. Tevez is an outspoken player, if he was at odds with certain City executives, why didn’t he speak out before? This reason is also vague as who are the certain City executives and what exactly did they do to alienate Tevez to such extremes? It’s more likely Tevez’s given reason to quit is engineered by Joorabchian.
Now you may ask well Tevez’s homesickness is well established, why doesn’t he use it as a reason to quit? Well he only recently signed a two year house rental and when he was granted holiday by Mancini, instead of jetting back home to Argentina to visit his family, he had a short vacation in Spain. If he was so homesick, why did he move from Corinthians to West Ham and then West Ham to Manchester United and then Manchester United to Manchester City? Yes, he may miss his family and he may be foreign to English culture however clearly it isn’t a deciding factor in his reason to quit.
With regards to where Tevez could go, Real Madrid is the only European option. However Jose Mourinho has never played a short centre forward. At Porto, he started Benni McCarthy who is 1.83m. At Chelsea, he started Didier Drogba who is 1.88m. At Inter Milan, he started Diego Milito who is 1.83m. At Real Madrid, he has Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema who are 1.84m. Tevez is only 1.73m. Also Real Madrid will not pay Tevez the same kind of wages he is earning at City. Even if they could, they would have to ensure Cristiano Ronaldo would be the highest paid player at the club and then what about the wages of more senior players like Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos? Just like Florentino Pérez refusing to vigorously go after Maicon given the options of Ramos and Alvaro Arbeloa at right back, Pérez will not feel the need to buy Tevez when they already have Ronaldo, Higuain and Benzema.
Tevez is admirable with his tenacious game on the pitch however his decision to abandon his teammates half way through the season is less than admirable.
