In today’s edition of “the links”, we have a quarterback controversy and, of course, the continued countdown to New Years Eve…Lets go!
A lot of people think this is a bigger deal than I do. While it won’t be his job when practice begins, hasn’t Rees done enough to be considered the front runner? If nothing else, by default. Rees outplayed Crist after Dayne’s season ended in injury. The offense looked more fluid with Rees at the helm. The freshman didn’t play well against USC, but how should that be weighed with how he played against Utah and Tulsa (despite three interceptions).
In the four game he saw signifigant time, Rees threw 10 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, as a freshman.
In the 8 games that Crist saw significant time, he threw 15 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, and this is a guy who was the starter from day 1 of the Kelly era.
That’s a pretty pro – Rees comparison, dontcha think?
By the virtue of human nature, their has to be a front runner in Kelly’s mind. That guy has to be Rees.
And I don’t think it’s that big a question. Disagree? Leave a comment.
No Armando Allen, but having Theo Riddick back at full speed is huge. Theooooooooooo!
I agree. In fact, who doesn’t agree
Enjoy the rest of Wednesday. 16 days until Miami.
