Washington in Dallas – only thing to play for is a little football ‘pride’…….

There will be no role of a ‘spoiler’ this weekend as the 4-9 Dallas Cowboys play host to the 5-8 Washington Redskins.   These two teams met in week-1 of what was going to be hopefully an optimistic season for both teams, but as any football fan knows, that did not occur and both teams have had faulty seasons and niether will be playing any post-season football this year.

Washington opened the season with a win against the Cowboys on Sunday night football in Washington and, as noted, both teams were looking at competing for the division, making a move into the playoffs, Donovan McNabb wearing a Redskin jersey.  Now both teams are looking at my new superhero ‘the spoiler’ role albeit not this weekend as neither team is going to the post-season so no spoiling this weekend.

Well, the game means nothing to either team, these two storied franchises do not like each other, and that is a known fact in the football world.  One of the biggest rivalries in professional sports.  In fact not many teams like the Dallas Cowboys as a N.B.  Both teams will be playing for ‘P.R.I.D.E’ and I can tell you nobody on the Dallas Cowboys is going to sit down and take this game lightly.  There is only one way to play football in the NFL and that is at 150%.    It is the last home game for the Cowboys who sit at 1-6 in front of the home fans and that alone does not bode well for any Dallas fan that has had the opportunity to see a game at the new Cowboy stadium.  It will be a hard-hitting affair but Dallas wins, in fact I think they cover the almost TD point spread.  Dallas just has too many weapons and that is without Romo and Bryant.  Dallas has been averaging 30+ points since Garrett took over as head coach.   Washington’s defense is last in the NFL and watch for Dallas to hone in on moving the ball and taking advantage of the weak Washington ‘D’.  Washington can not even guarantee that McNabb will be the starter this Sunday but between McNabb’s days in Philly and now with the Redskins, watch for McNabb to start – but no one says he will finish once the Dallas ‘D’ has had their way with him.    Washington is in a state of turmoil and the Cowboys have been turning things around, competing  since Jason Garrett took over at the helm of the Cowboy ship.

As always, comments, questions, concerns, my ears are always listening, have a nice weekend and see ya post-game, Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!
