Over the next 3 weeks the Buffalo Bills will face every team I despise in the league; the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and they finish the season against the New York Jets. I want the Bills to win these games, despite the fact they’ll end up having a higher draft pick. I read an interesting article that gave me some hope for next year. Bob DiCesare a NEWS SPORTS COLUMNIST made a great point that if the Bills can draft well they may find that diamond in the rough. Some examples of teams who have done this are New England’s Tom Brady, a sixth-round selection, Josh Freeman went to Tampa Bay as the 17th pick, Joe Flacco to Baltimore at No. 18. Green Bay took its QB of the future, Aaron Rodgers, with the 24th pick overall. Being successful in the draft isn’t all about going first.

Ryan Fitzpatrick may never be in the same category as these quarterbacks but do the Bills really need to have their first pick be a quarterback? For right now, offense is not the issue, the run defense will end up being the worst in the league and that will certainly be something they’ll need to look after at the draft.
I won’t be addressing the draft anymore till the off season, it’s more fun just watching the Bills try and win games and more so watching them finding interesting ways to lose games. I say “Squish the Fish” although a Dolphin is not a fish but a mammal, “Flat the Pat” and “Get the Jets”.
Whatcha going to do when “The Beard” runs wild on you! We’ll see in the next few weeks.
