Brett Lebda is playing LW tonight and Nazem Kadri continues to be a healthy scratch. In what bizarre edition of reality does this scenario even remotely make sense? Seriously?
Brett Lebda. Makes sense that the under-achieving defenseman that is incapable of cracking the blue line when all Leafs defensemen are healthy is now taking NHL playing time away from the organization’s top prospect.
Brett. Lebda. Playing left wing tonight…(it makes as little sense typing it out a couple of times than it does repeating it aloud)
What is going on in the executive suite down at the ACC? I guess all the recent success (sarcasm) the team has enjoyed coupled with the extra cushy holiday freeze period (sadly, reality) has taken all the reason out of the hockey minds down on Bay St. There must have been a 10 day “spiked egg-nog” bender that is clouding personnel decisions, right?
Kadri may not be lighting the league on fire so far in his rookie season (at least not in the goal scoring dept), but come on. I’m looking forward to reading/watching/listening to all the excuses from management why this is a good idea today.
It gets harder and harder on a daily basis to look for the silver lining in this storm cloud.
