The Dallas Cowboys head into University of Phoenix stadium to play the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas day. What is better than being able to enjoy the company of loved ones, Santa and the Dallas Cowboys? Clearly this game means nothing to either team; it is not like the Cowboys have the rivalry with the Cardinals like they did in last weeks game that also meant nothing against the Redskins when you knew pride was on the line for both teams.
Dallas has won their last 4 of 6 and look to head into next season on somewhat of a high and well the Cowboys end their season against the Eagles in Philly, they had best not forget about this Christmas tilt against the Cardinals. As we all know both these teams have under-achieved this season, Arizona won the NFC west last year well the Cowboys won the NFC east and this year neither team is going to the post-season which is clearly a disappointment for both squads. Dallas I personally think had better intentions for this season than the Cardinal squad who lost some key players over the off-season.
I think we all know in Dallas Nation that the Cowboys will play to win. If not for them selves than hopefully for Jason Garrett and for him to retain the head coaching job for the Cowboys next season. Dallas has certainly made a turn for the better since Garrett took over the helm of this years Cowboys squad. It is at the end of the day professional football and the only way to play is at 150% and no one player can take any team lightly but I like the Cowboys. Look for the Cowboys to give some of the yonger players some playing time in this game.
The Cowboys have room for improvement (especially on defence—Dallas has given up 30/30+ points in their last 4 games), On the plus side Dallas has also been able to put points on the board and with that being said look for that trend to continue against a not very good Cardinal secondary, front line, lets just say defence in general.
Dallas fan or not, look for this game to be somewhat un-eventful, Arizona does not play the most exciting football since Kurt Warner left and look for Dallas to move the ball, put points on the board and wins this football game. Nobody likes when the Cowboys come to town and with it being Christmas, come on people, be nice and enjoy the Cowboys victory and hopefully Kitna and company making it an exciting game for all. Certainly would be nice if the defence and special teams can turn it up a notch for Cowboy Nation. Dallas is clearly the better team and the final score will reflect that.
as always comments / questions / concerns – Merry Christmas and see ya’all in Philly…..
