Lakers win by double digits.
That is it?
What else needs to be said?
The Heat can’t play against any team that has length and the Lakers have plenty of length. Between Pau, Lamar and a healthy Bynum, I suspect the Lakers will out rebound the Heat by 15-20 boards.
I think the Lakers will be up for this game. I think they have been targeting this game all year and this is the game that will jump start the Laker season.
The Heat have received all the attention since Lebron decided to “take his talents to South Beach.” Meanwhile, the Lakers have cruised letting teams like the Spurs (like an American car built in the 80′s and 90′s, always on the verge of a breakdown), the Mavericks (always on the verge of disappointment, like recent Will Ferrell movies) and the Celtics (like galvanized plumbing, dependable but you never know when the water main is going to break and the entire house is underwater) take the reins for the first third of the season.
I have written it on this blog many times before, it is all about June and today is the firs step towards June. There will be valleys along the way, but I plan for the Lakers to send a message tomorrow.
Lebron, Wade and Bosh (if there was a way to shrink the font size for Bosh, I would), better be ready because the Lakers will surely be. I can’t see Kobe letting these dudes walk onto his home court and leave with a win.
That is unless Phil Jackson tells the team to take the holiday off.
