Santa didn’t exactly bring me what I asked for. With a 34-3 loss against the New England Patriots, the Bills have now lost 15 straight against their so called rivals. Nothing was working for the Bills on Sunday. They had 7 turnovers which included 5 from Fitzpatrick. He was simply off his game. The Bills managed to score a field goal off their opening drive, however this was all they could manage the rest of the game. The spoiler roll is done for the Bills for this season. With the Patriots win, they have clinched the AFC East and eliminated any chance of the Jets winning the division. Therefore next weeks game against the Jets will be meaningless for both teams.
I could go on and on about how Tom Brady and the Patriots broke this record and that record but you can go the Patriots blog for that. http://prosportsblogging.com/sports/nfl-football/new-england-patriots/. I can’t express enough how these losses are getting to me. The memory of the last win against New England is fading fast. I remember Drew Bledsoe was our quarterback, I remember it was a shutout, but I’m getting tired of remembering, I want to re-live it. But I guess that’s the pain of being a Bills fan.
So what’s on the agenda next week? The Bills play the New York Jets. Nothing on the line, nothing to gain with a win. I guess you play for pride. You go out there and play with your heart, you play for those Bills fans that have been cheering you on all year. You play for your job and play for your teammates and your coaches. You do that cause you’ve been doing that all year. Although they did not shown that this past Sunday, the Bills kept trying. I can only compare it to having one of those work days when nothing goes right and all you want to do is go home and have a couple of cold ones.
I’ll see you this Sunday my Buffalo Bills, cause that’s just what I do.
Merry Christmas. And Bah Humbug to the New England Patriots
