Darryl Sutter Gone! Feaster new GM

First off I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday! Onto the news.

Darryl Sutter was asked to step down as Flames GM and Executive VP today by Flames president Ken King. Jay Feaster will now take over the role of GM with the Calgary Flames in an interim basis. It will be a key time for the Flames as the trade freeze has just been lifted and the Flames will have decisions to make after winning their last two games and inching closer to a potential playoff spot.

Brent Sutter appears to be safe as he should be. I’ve never felt that coaching in Calgary has been the problem. But I am sure there will be no guarantee’s on Brent’s job if the Flames miss the playoffs.

Good luck to you Mr. Feaster! You have inherited a tough problem with the Calgary Flames. Your next couple of months will be critical for the future of this franchise. No pressure.

Have a good one! And man what a shot by Kotalik last night!
