In the first matchup of the season the Buffalo Bills were handled easily by the New York Jets 38-14.
Even though many of the Jets starters will see limited action the Jets still should handle them easily.
The difference is that the Bills defense has lost three starters in linebackers Andra Davis and Reggie Torbor, along with defensive end Dwan Edwards. Also, nose tackle Kyle Williams is banged up. That means the Bills defense is in for a heavy dose of the Jets running attack.
That won’t be a surprise as the last time the Jets rushed the football 49 times that game.
The strength of the Bills has been its offense, but it looks like starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will miss the game as he hasn’t taken a snap in practice all week due to a knee injury. That means backup quarterback Brian Brohm will get his first start of the year. Also, the Bills are short on wide receivers as starting wide receiver Lee Evans is done for the year, Donald Jones will miss the game due to a concussion and David Nelson will most likely miss the game due to a rib injury.
In the end, hopefully the Jets will find a way to win as if they do the Bills will solidify themselves a top five pick in April’s upcoming National Football League Draft.
