The Buffalo Bills have finished the season with a record of 4-12. A 38-7 loss against the New York Jets was the final nail in the coffin for the Bills. The second half of the season saw Buffalo get 4 wins which was a great improvement from the first half in which they went winless.
Today’s game was what it was. Another season in which the Bills didn’t go to the playoffs and another meaningless game in January. Good thing that the last Bills playoff game involved the Music City Miracle because I’m not sure I could remember that far back. Ryan Fitzpatrick didn’t play this game and Brian Brohm got the start. He looked like a mixture of Rob Johnson, J.P. Losman, Kelly Holcomb, and Trent Edwards. Brohm went 10/23 for 106 yard with 3 interceptions and 1 fumble. Not a performance to write home about considering the Bills were playing against a New York Jets team that rested most of their starters.
To be honest, I only watched till halftime, I really couldn’t continue watching this train wreck. I didn’t want to end the season watching a game that resembled so many games from the past 10 years. Instead, I had a little nap, I dreamt of the early 90′s when all Bills fans had to worry about was home field advantage. Perhaps the off season will bring us the next Jim Kelly or Bruce Smith and get us back to the playoffs.
I’ll be posting a year in review shortly until then, enjoy the playoffs.
