Joe Johnson got off the plane locked in, the Jazz never stood a chance as Johnson assulted them from deep. Johnson hit 5 of 7 three pointers as the Hawks beat the Jazz 110-87, the Hawks now have a 3 game road winning streak going. Utah ended another short winning streak at just 2 games, the Jazz shot terribly last night. How bad you ask?? They shot 39% as a team, yes 39%!!! You are not going to win many games in the NBA shooting that poorly. Joe Johnson got some help from Jamal Crawford who scored 26 points off the bench. Utah NEVER had a lead in this game, they even trailed by as much as 25!! This was not what the Jazz were supposed to do at home, Utah fell to 24-12 and 13-7 at home. The Jazz were led by Andrei Kirilenko and Deron Williams. Kirilenko had 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Williams finished with 19 points and 9 assists, the problem was the 5 turnovers he had. The Jazz were a bit short handed playing with out Paul Milsap, Memeht Okur didn’t play either. The Jazz had to start Francisco Elson, Elson didnt have a great game finishing with NO points in 18 minutes! Up next for the Jazz are the surging Memphis Grizzlies, the Grizzlies fresh off beating the Thunder and the Lakers will be a tough opponent for the Jazz. The Grizzlies are 16-19, as you already know they have Zach Randolph and Rudy Gay. Randolph is almost guaranteed a double-double every time he’s on the court, as for Rudy Gay he’s becoming a pretty good player in this league. Utah has to fix this starting slow thing, I know I talk about it every time but they don’t fix it. Last night against the Hawks they got out-scored 30-17 in the FIRST QUARTER, you can’t win like that. Utah needs to iron this issue out to succeed this season.
