The Colts rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to take a late lead before losing to the New York Jets, 17-16, in an AFC Wild Card Game at Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday.

These two teams recently have quite a back story, from the Colts snatching a victory from the Jets in the divisional championship game to Rex Ryan expressing that the game was “personal” that he defeats Peyton Manning.

It was a heart breaker in Indianapolis as Jets kicker Kevin Folk converted the field goal with no time left on the clock, ending a very tumultuous season for Peyton Manning and the Colts.

Indy finished the season with 18 players on injured reserve, which hindered Manning to mesh with the rotating door of wide receivers and tight ends.

Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson had two rushing touchdowns for the second time in a playoff game, and has six playoff rushing touchdowns, which is the most among active players. The Colts defense weren’t able to contain the rejuvenated veteran quarterback.

Colts QB Peyton Manning passed for 225 yards, wide receiver had Pierre Garcon 112 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Some say because Manning will be 35 next season, his window for another Super Bowl ring is closing. His contract is also up this season, can Manning play for another team? Only time will tell.

Jets (12-5) head to New England for a third meeting with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick next Sunday NFL – Top-seeded Patriots (14-2) will host Jets (12-5) next Sunday in AFC Divisional round game.
