All five of the Clipper’s starters scored in double figures as they played one of their best games of the season in a 106-93 victory Wednesday night against Carmelo Anthony’s 31 points and the Denver Nuggets. Center DeAndre Jordan had one of the best performances of his career, scoring 14 points, grabbing 20 rebounds and blocking six shots.
To keep the momentum going, the Clippers won their second straight game by defeating the Golden State Warriors Sunday by a score of 105-91. Blake Griffin had 23 points and 12 rebounds for his 23rd consecutive double-double, which is a franchise record single handedly bringing the butts back in seats for Clippers games. Baron Davis had 17 points and 11 assists, giving him a double. He is now averaging 14.2 points with 33 assists and just seven turnovers, proving he still has much left in the tank.
The Clippers have shown they can get the job done these past few games. Now they have a huge test on Wednesday as they face the blazing Miami Heat as they continue a record breaking road win streak.
A player to watch on Wednesday’s match-up is Clippers rookie forward Al-Farouq Aminu, who has struggled but looked impressive in last week’s match-up, scoring 12 points and grabbing five rebounds in 21 minutes against the Warriors.
An interesting match-up against the Heat will be Blake Griffin against….well no one can truly contain Griffin but it will be exciting to see who will try!
Don’t miss the exciting and energizing Los Angeles Clippers face the red hot Heat Wednesday, January 12th, tip off at 7:30 (PST).
