Utah actually started a game with energy, I am still in utter disbelief! The Jazz scored 31 points in the first quarter last night, they went on to beat the Cavs 121-99. The Jazz outscored the Cavaliers in 3 of the 4 quarters, the Cavs were led by Antwan Jamison who had 26 points and 11 rebounds. Deron Williams finished just 1 assist shy of a double-double, he had 26 points and 9 assists to lead the Jazz. All five players in Utah’s starting line-up scored in double-figures, Utah’s bench even outscored Cleveland’s 39-28! CJ Miles led the effort from the subs with 20 points on 8 of 13 shooting. One area of the game that Utah lost was on the boards, the Cavs beat them 43-35. I believe that’s two games in a row that the Jazz have got out worked on the boards, I’m sure Coach Sloan is none too happy with that. The Jazz shot 10-19 from three point land, Deron led the way going 4 of 6 from deep. Neither team played great defense in this game, both teams shot extremely well. Utah shot over 50% , 52.8% to be exact while the Cavs were barely under at 48.8%. Raja Bell, Al Jefferson, and Andrei Kirilenko all scored 15 points. Paul Milsap only scored 11 points, Memeht Okur had a rough shooting night as well scoring only 3 points while taking 7 shots. Okur did make up for it, by dishing out 5 assists and grabbing 7 rebounds in his 15 minute stint on the court. Utah needs to clean up their act on the boards and on defense before their next game. Utah advanced to 27-13 and 15-7 at home on the season, up next they travel to D.C to play the Wizards on Monday. That should be an exciting match-up at PG between D-Wil and 1st overall pick John Wall!
