All right. The Lakers beat the Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Thunder. That means the Lake show will kick it into high gear now, right?
The Lakers could have easily lost this game if the Thunder could hit a 3 point shot and/or taken advantage of Kobe Bryant’s un-Kobelike performance down the stretch from the free throw line.
It is apparent to me that the Lakers are just not clicking at the moment. Which is fine. Sometimes I feel like I have to talk Laker fan off the ledge.
It seems like we go through this every year. The Lakers are not fully committed to games in December and January prompting the LA Times and those who call into LA talk radio to ignite panic.
I am not panicked.
I won’t be panicked.
Not in Decemeber.
Not in January.
Not in February.
Just make it through the season healthy and win the title. No one cares who had the best record in the regular season. Regular seasons are for Dallas Maverick and Cleveland Cavs fans.
Laker fans care only about the post-season. Be ready in May and June. Stay healthy in November through April.
Championship or bust.
That is the life of a Laker fan.
