76ers Take Advantage of Slumping Jazz

Posted By Wilson Tarpeh Jr. On Jan 22 2011 @ 11:02 pm In Utah Jazz | No Comments

Utah did it again, they didn’t win any of the 4 quarters and ended up loosing the game. The 76ers beat the Jazz at home 96-85, this means the Jazz have lost every game on this road trip. They have lost 4 out of the 5 games on this road trip, the only reason it’s 4 out of 5 is because the 5th game has yet to be played. It’s sad watching Utah play basketball right now, they don’t look like the same team we saw earlier in the year when they vaulted to the top of their division. The 76ers were led by Andre Iguodala who had 22 points, Lou Williams and Elton Brand chipped in with 20 points and 19 points respectively. Utah’s struggles have really turned a slump into a skid, and it doesn’t look like it’s getting any better any time soon. ┬áDeron Williams did at least get back on track by recording a double-double, Williams had 20 points and 14 assists. Al Jefferson had a double-double as well with 19 points and 13 rebounds, so did Paul Milsap as he scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Gordon Hayward started in place of Andrei Kirilenko tonight, Kirilenko wasn’t hurt it was just a change. Hayward finished with 4 points and 3 rebounds, Kirilenko had 12 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. The Jazz struggled again shooting from the field, but at least they won the battle on the boards. Utah’s road record has taken a big hit, it’s now 12-10 and their overall record is now 27-17. They need to at least win 1 GAME on this trip, getting a win against the Lakers isn’t an easy task. Utah plays the Lakers in LA on Tuesday night, Utah needs to bring their A+++ game to beat LA!! This recent skid has Utah 1.5 games back in their division, we’re half way through the season and I’m sure most didn’t expect the Jazz to be THIS competitive. That’s the good news, now they need to get back on track so this recent skid doesn’t derail their season. Hopefully Utah wont’ allow that to happen, I look forward to seeing WHICH Jazz team shows up Tuesday night in LA!!
