Typically, the addition of a walk-on basketball player would hardly be newsworthy. Today, however, Christian Garrett’s decision to play basketball at the University of Kansas could lead to the solidification of another talented recruiting class.
Garrett, from the IMG Academy, has chosen to walk-on at KU in the class of 2011. Garrett’s teammate, DeAndre Daniels, could be next. The Rivals 9th ranked recruit has been contemplating his college choice for weeks.
Daniels is the highest rated player not committed to any program. The 6’7” small forward has narrowed his choices to Kansas, Kentucky and Texas.
If Daniels chooses the Jayhawks, he will join Naadir Tharpe in the team’s upcoming recruiting class.
