Couldn’t meet playoff expectations

Well, that game didn’t really go as planned. Patriots came into the Jets game anticipating a big one and being one step closer to the Super Bowl. Only problem, is they got man-handled by the Jets. Hats off to the struggling underdogs, but they came into the game and played hard; played like they should have all season. This game was all about the Jets and even though they were not able to beat the Steelers in the AFC Championship game, they still beat their rival Patriots 2 out of 3 times this season.

I expected big things from the Pats this game; lots of offense and lots of scoring. I also did not expect that terrible Jets’ offense to put up more than 17 points. It was a real disappointment of a game and just ruined what was looking to be a solid season for the Patriots. The Patriots just looked off, they seemed confused on both sides of the ball. They definitely were not playing like themselves and it must have really hurt them having that first round bye. Their momentum must have just disappeared during that bye week.

All in all, the Jets strait up beat the Patriots and played much better on both sides of the ball. The Patriots offense had no rhythm and was outmatched by a solid Jets’ defense. The Patriots did however put together a solid regular season and I expect some good things again next season.
