Jordan Participates In Charlotte Bobcats Practice

Don’t call it a comeback, Michael Jordan is practicing with the team he owns.
The six-time NBA champion, Hall of Famer and Charlotte Bobcats owner put on a different pair of work shoes at the Bobcats Thursday workout.
The Bobcats, who were short on players for practice, found a pretty decent substitute when Jordan laced up his sneaks and put on an orange jersey.
For the resurgent Bobcats, having Jordan actively participate in practice is not new. The 48-year old and soon to be 49 Jordan has stopped by Bobcat workouts and shootarounds as of late, offering words of wisdom and encouragement to his team.
However, just teaching wasn’t enough for Jordan today. He participated in the full workouts as one of the players on the practice’s third team.
Charlotte is been playing much better basketball lately. The team started 9-19 forcing Jordan to make a decision about the direction of the team. In the end, former head coach and friend of Jordan Larry Brown stepped aside, leaving Paul Silas with the task of getting Charlotte back in playoff contention.
No easy task, but Silas has been up to it. The Bobcats are 22-30 and trail the Indiana Pacers by only one game for the eighth and final playoff spot.
While the team is playing better, more than a coaching team might be needed to make sure Charlotte makes it back to the playoffs.
Regardless of what happens with the team one thing is for certain, Jordan will not be coming out of retirement for the third time. He still has his jump shot, but the legs are not what they used to be.
