With Chicago Blackhawks defensemen Jordan Hendry leaving the third period of the Hawks/Yotes game tonight, they Hawks are in dire need of a veteran defensemen. It’s believed Hendry suffered a serious lower body injury and will be gone from 4-6 weeks.
Ottawa Senators GM Bryan Murray is already on the phone with the Hawks about a potential deal involving either Chris Campoli or Filip Kuba. Both defensemen are in play now with Chris Phillips re-signing. Murray will push to move one of these blueliners and sources are telling us that the Hawks believe Ottawa is the trade partner they need to get the help they so desperately need on defense.
More to come.
