Monday nights game was sloppy with a lack of intensity for the majority of game. The Spurs couldn’t grab a rebound. Zach Randolph had 10offensive rebounds. 10!!! Against the Spurs!! Count ‘em 1 “good board”- 2 “nice one”- 3 “dude” 4- “holy crap”- 5 “what the hell”- 6 “box him out please”- 7 “WOW”- 8 “really guys”- 9 “damn it”, and 10 “we SUCK”. Zach ate those rebounds up like Dunkin Donuts. He also ad a few of his shots fed back to him by Timmy, I beleive Timmy blocked him 3 times on one possesion. Timmy is tied for tenth all time in blocks with all his blocks last night. So the defense wasn’t bad, wasn’t good but it it got the job done. The game wouldn’t have been so close if TP9 had not hurt his calf. But in the fourth quarter in comes MANU, the heart, the soul, the best closer in the game, leads San Antonio to victory yet again.
TP9 is said to be out 2-4 weeks and with another game against Memphis tuesday and BIG games against Miami and the Lakers coming up, now is not the best time to lose one of the BIG 3. Here is where the Spurs depht comes in handy. The Spurs have the deepest team in the league. Bonner is catching fire, James is getting into game shape and Neal shouldn’t be out too long. They may not win all these big games but they sould pull a couple of them out and stay competetive in the rest. The main thing is to make sure TP9 rests and comes back 100%.
