Lakers Drink Tiger Blood, Result: Winners

Lakers have kicked it into another gear since the all-star break. They’ve won 7 in a row and on Sunday, went into San Antonio and absolutely dismantled the team that is suppose to provide the most resistance against the Lakers in the Western Conference.
This game was over in the 1st quarter. The Laker length and defensive intensity proved to be too much for the Spurs.
The most promising thing I take away from this game was Andrew Bynum’s dominance over Tim Duncan. Duncan couldn’t do anything against the younger, quicker and longer Bynum. It was very encouraging as a Laker fan to see Bynum continue his trend of improved play by dominating the paint.
By the end of the 1st quarter Bynum had 2 blocks, 8 rebounds and altered countless shots to help push the Lakers to the massive lead.
The Lakers coasted towards the end of the game and they were in neutral for so long, PJ actually put Kobe back in the game. The late 3rd and 4th quarter was a bit of an embarrassment to watch. But it didn’t matter. The end of the game is not the story, the dominance of the Lakers is.
And we will see if Laker dominance continues as they face Miami, Dallas and Orlando in the next week.
